History of Diamond Metal Fabricators

The company was founded in 1990 by Eugene and Jay Swingley – father and son

  • Gene and Jay had worked in the HVAC industry as air handling system installers since 1985.
  • Gene had worked in the sheet metal and HVAC industry since the 1960’s where he developed extensive experience.  Gene apprenticed Jay in the trade of sheet metal.
  • The Company started in a 2,000 square foot building in 1990 and today resides in a 20,000 square foot facility.
  • Jay has made considerable technical and equipment enhancements involving the fabrication of ductwork since 1990 when the company was established including the following:
    • Equipment Enhancements:
      • Fully operational Iowa Precision Coil Line
      • 2-table Lockformer Plasma cutting system
      • Assortment of hydraulic presses, brakes and notchers
    • Technical Enhancements:
      • In house bidding of commercial jobs by blueprint
      • In addition we have developed a trademark system to aid our customers with ductwork installation saving them time and, therefore, money.

Today Diamond Metal’s core business is commercial and residential ductwork fabrication.  We work everyday to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of our customers.  We strive to continually develop ways to make it easier for our customers to install or use our products, thereby saving our customers money.

We’ve established an innovative system for commercial ductwork installation that has been a proven time-saver for our customers.  Customer response to this system has been phenomenal.  This has strengthened our determination to continue to develop new or better ways to fabricate ductwork in a way that saves time on installation and allows our customers to finish their jobs in a cost-saving manner.
 
Our #1 goal is to be the preeminent manufacturer of ductwork in Georgia and throughout the Southeast.
